This is a very important phase of treatment. The instructions are as follows:
- 6 months full time wear- taken out to eat and to brush teeth
- 6 months home wear-(sleeping, watching t.v, computer time, etc)
- After 1 year- wear at bed time until wisdom teeth (third molars are taken care of), after which retainers should be worn one night a week
